  1. Do not procrastinate, if it’s on your to-do list TAKE ACTION
  2. Keep yourself entertained, watch, listen or read entertaining educational content (smile)!
  3. Do not bother doing it all yourself, automate and delegate so you can invest time in scaling.
  4. Small things yield massive results, pay a bit more attention to the detail or if you don’t know how to find someone who can
  5. Apply a priority management tool to your time, keep things prioritised.
  6. Invest as need be but FOCUS on one thing at a time.
  7. Learn, apply and practice…. repeat Learn, apply and practice…repeat
  8. Think and develop a great strategy.
  9. Ask for any help you need, but ask the right people join a Tribe
  10. Recognise, you have ONLY ONE-Time lease, prioritise yourself, I didn’t say be selfish, I said prioritise yourself (Your mission, destiny, cause, dream.life). Take action

Demystifying Artificial Intelligence

The Digital evolution is here in full swing, and digital applications and artificial intelligence are fast becoming the norm for every organisation, business, school, charity and home. This digital transformation will revolutionise society forever. However, there is no guarantee your Business will survive this digital transformation. One of the biggest reasons for this is the limited access people have to the knowledge of  Artificial Intelligence; this is because people have formed business habits that are non-digital, and have worked and grown businesses without being skilled in Artificial Intelligence. Hence their attitudes are one of indifference.

A lack of awareness of Artificial Intelligence is delaying transformation and may lead to business failure

There are two hard truths everybody must face especially businesses.

General Data Protection Regulation

Six key factors you need to know about the General Data Protection Regulation coming into force on 25 May 2018

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is fast approaching, yet according to a recent Experian survey over 25% of those asked were ‘not very’ or ‘not at all’ prepared for GDPR.

This statistic seems to show that, despite the publicity surrounding GDPR, many businesses are unaware of what GDPR means for them or are unsure of what to do next.

First of all, you should be aware of why GDPR is being introduced and who it affects.

UK businesses currently operate under the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA). The world has since become digital, meaning a radical shift in the volume, variety and speed of data that is produced.

And since data has become such a big part of business, the GDPR heavily focuses on protecting individuals and their data, by having transparency and customer interest at its core.

The GDPR applies to all business in the EU that collect, store and process personal data.

It’s important to remember that business data can also be personal data, a sole trader’s email address, for example, may also be their personal email address.

If this applies to your business, it’s in your best interest to be aware of the GDPR and take action sooner rather than later.

The businesses who are able to build trust and be transparent, will be the ones who thrive in the new GDPR era.

Once you have a good idea of what exactly GDPR is and who it applies to, you should be aware of the six key elements. These elements outline some of the most important individuals’ rights, as well as business requirements.

  1. Rights of Individuals

At the core of the GDPR is the theme of keeping individuals’ rights and interests front of mind at all times. Under the new regulation your customers will have the following rights:

The right to be informed (see below for more information)

The right of access

The right to rectification

The right to erase (see below for more information)

The right to restrict processing

The right to data portability

The right to object

Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling

  1. Right to be informed

Businesses must be sure to provide details on how customers information will be processed and why.

Privacy policies also will need updating to reflect this and be in line with GDPR requirements. Don’t forget that any policy changes will need communicating to both new and existing customers.

  1. Right to erasure (or ‘right to be forgotten’)

Individuals will now be able to request that their data is deleted.

This doesn’t give people an absolute right to be erased or forgotten, however it is possible under certain circumstances. For example, situations where there is no longer a compelling reason for the data to remain on file.

There are also occasions where this request can be refused. That is, when personal data has been processed for one of the following reasons:

To exercise the right of freedom of expression and information

To comply with a legal obligation for the performance of a public interest task or exercise of official authority

For public health purposes in the public interest

Archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific research historical research or statistical purposes

The exercise or defence of legal claims

  1. Data protection officer

As part of the new GDPR, it is a requirement that under certain circumstances a data protection officer (DPO) must be appointed.

This requirement would apply if, for example, you are carrying out large scale processing of special categories of data, or processing data relating to criminal convictions or offences. Public authorities will also need to appoint a DPO.

Of course, you may still appoint a DPO even if you’re not required to and this may be something to consider, to ensure that you have the resources and skills to manage your other GDPR obligations.

  1. Obligations on data processors

According to the ICO, a data controller “determines the purposes and means of processing personal data” and a data processor “is responsible for processing personal data on behalf of a controller”.

Under the DPA, the statutory obligations are on data controllers only.

However, the GDPR sees data processors being given new responsibilities around the security of personal data during processing activities. Data Processors will also be legally accountable for compliance outside of contract terms.

  1. Data protection impact assessment

A data protection impact assessment (DPIA) is a tool which the GDPR promotes so that businesses can effectively assess and comply with their own data protection obligations.

They allow you to identify and resolve any issues that may lead to non-compliance and the resulting costs and reputational damage that may ensue.

You are required to conduct a DPIA where the processing of data is likely to result in high risk to the rights and freedom of Individuals

Too many wonderful people that live in your postcode,  that are your height, work where you work too many are under self-limiting deceptions. Wandering through the year, hiding under the shadow of being BUSY and the Infamous excuse about the CHILDREN. I am disappointed that you are being robbed daily of your rightful inheritance because you are afraid to fight for what should be yours. You keep hoping that somehow you will find a lucky break without using forceful action. But you won’t! You have to make demands where life and success are concerned.

 

When you think about starting and growing a business, you are expressing your gifting and talents, your right to add value to the world.

Why do you think, society is falling in many places! YES because you once again have not provided the true answer!  GOSH… I know you can do it, and you know you know you can do it!

So why walk around like the Walking Dead…. Full of potential but no YIELD?

 

So, stop going round in circles right now! Stop WALKING LIKE THE DEAD, express your creativity push, be assertive, hang around assertive entrepreneurs. Join a group where your ideas and passion will be nourished and celebrated. If you don’t you may never succeed in this time lease!

Abandoned or disappointed by your Network?

Sometime’s we all feel or know people have let us down, and sometimes we know, if we want to tell the truth we have let ourselves down even more!

This week in my Private Masterclass, I am going to discuss how we can utilise the Scale of Preference tool. For those who do not know what a scale of preference tool is, the tool is mostly used by economists to help measure and assess preferences and priorities.

Interestingly you can, transfer the use of this tool and use it to get the same results in other areas including using it to measure priorities and preferences in your Social network, Business network and Importantly on yourself.

I am going to share a few lines on how you should use this tool to measure the value of your Social network.

Prioritisation (Listing actions in order of importance)

A scale of preference will list from top to bottom things that are most important to use, this list may be one to five or one to ten. The priorities on the top receive maximum attention.

A scale of preference is not a Wishlist and is not about words and idle promises, but about actions. If you are never featured as a  priority in your social networks scale of preference, and you are feeling left out, excluded or excommunicated I have news for you, that pain or awkward feeling is not necessarily bad. It is, in fact, a wake-up call to challenge you from being too comfortable where you are.

Being prioritised in your social networks is not about words and idle promises, but about actions, between you and your friends or colleagues. If you are never a priority to your friends or colleagues and never up their on their scale of preference, then you need to reposition yourself.

By this I mean, If your “Reasonable well-defined requests” are never met. You are not on the top ten list!

What could make this uncomfortable is if all or most of their “Reasonable well-defined requests” are met by you!

This means there is no Reciprocity and your Social Value Relationship is lopsided!  And this lop side is not in your favour!

Solution

Take a step back, have some quiet time and revisit your scale of preference.

Ask yourself why these “ungrateful people” are on your scale of preference. Can someone else do what you require from them?

More importantly, take out time to understand “Delayed gratification” are you too eager for something that is great? But might require you to delay receiving this to keep your self-dignity?
